The IDG\McGovern Institute for Brain Research (IMIBR) at BNU held its 9th Board Meeting on May 21, 2019. The meeting was presided by Professor Robert Desimone. Professor Wu Li, director of IMIBR at BNU, reported on the progress of the institute during the time interval from May 2018 to April 2019 from multiple aspects, including, faculty recruitment, PI evaluation, research progress, scientific exchange, budget, events. Five McGovern PIs introduced their latest research progresses. The Board members were satisfied with the progress of IMIBR-BNU and showed great interests in PIs’ research. They also provided valuable advices on the development of our institute.

        Attending this meeting were the Board Members, together with directors from related departments from IDG and BNU, including Qi Dong (President of BNU), Lore Harp McGovern(Co-founder of the McGovern Brain Institute at MIT), Robert Desimone (Director of the McGovern Brain Institute at MIT), Hugo Shong (Global Chairman of IDG Capital), Karen Ren (Senior Vice President, IDG Capital), Wu Li (Director for the IMIBR at BNU), Chunming Lu(Deputy Director of the IMIBR ), Jun Wang(Deputy Director of the IMIBR) and Lingzi Zhang (Assistant to the Director).
       After the meeting, the Board members paid a visit to the McGovern tree and had a tour of the new IMIBR building.
