The IDG\McGovern Institute for Brain Research (IMIBR) at BNU held its sixth Board Meeting on May 23, 2016. The meeting was presided by Professor Robert Desimone. Professor Wu Li, director of IMIBR at BNU, reported on the progress of the institute during the time interval from May 2015 to May 2016 from multiple aspects, including faculty recruitment, major events, research progress, scientific exchange, website and publicity, budget and facilities construction. The Board members were satisfied with the progress of IMIBR-BNU and they provided valuable advice on the development of our institute and some of our PIs.
        Attending this meeting were the Board Members, together with directors from related departments from IDG and BNU, including Qi Dong (President of BNU), Lore Harp McGovern(Co-founder of the McGovern Brain Institute at MIT), Robert Desimone (Director of the McGovern Brain Institute at MIT), Hugo Shong (Executive Vice President of IDG and Chairman of IDG Greater China), Karen Ren (Vice President, Corporate Communications, IDG China), Gemma Tian ( Associate Director, Public Relations, IDG Capital Partners), Li Chen ( BNU Vice-President\Director for the Office of Discipline Construction, BNU), Anru Lou(Director for the Office of Science and Technology, BNU), Wu Li (Director for the IMIBR at BNU) and Lingzi Zhang (Administration Assistant).        After the meeting, the Board members paid a visit to the McGovern tree and had a look at the construction site of new IMIBR building.
